THE VILLAGE CHAIRLIFT

1. What is the current status of the Village Lift construction?

As a component of the overall Bear Valley Village Partners development plan, construction of the lift depends on resolving the sewer capacity issue. BVVP does not view the lift as a stand-alone project. It will go hand-in-hand with the construction of new condo and commercial buildings.

BVVP says that when the sewer issue is resolved, they will start drawing up specific plans for their first phase of construction. They recognize the importance of the lift but are not yet ready to commit to a schedule.

2. Will the lift be a double, triple, or quad?

The maximum now approved by the U.S. Forest Service in the Environmental Assessment is a detachable quad from the village to the bottom of Sunrise Bowl, then a fixed triple from there to the top of Nastar run. The Mountain could build smaller than that, and the final decision hasn't been made.

3. Will this be one lift or two?

It will probably be two lifts. See #2.
