MINUTES BVRI BOARD MEETING July 8, 2010

The meeting was called to order by Board President Dave Morley at 5:05 pm in the County Services Building in Bear Valley, California and via telephone conference bridge for those members unable to attend in person.

Barbara Goodrich presented her analysis of the latest proposal from the LAWC. John Dralla presented his analysis of the proposal. A lengthy discussion ensued regarding the analysis and an appropriate BVRI Response to the LAWC Rate Increase Proposal.

MOTION: Sue Garratt moved that BVRI President, Dave Morley, send a letter to the CPUC that is copied to the LAWC board protesting the rate increase and suggesting there's a better rate design that exists that should be implemented.

SECOND: Barbara Goodrich seconded the motion.

All members in favor.

None opposed.

Additional discussion of how to inform and engage homeowners in the response to the CPUC resulted in the decision to send a BVRI email out no later than July 9.

BVRI board member (Ron Rossi) is going to begin dialogue with LAWC board member (Chuck Toeniskoetter) to encourage engagement with BVRI on this and future issues--ideally ahead of big decisions.

Dave Morley adjourned the meeting at 6:00 pm
